installation instructions:
For
Windows NT or 2000*: save the executable file 'kbdiu.exe' to
your hard drive by clicking the link to the left, then run the file by
double-clicking
it once saved. This will install the files in the appropriate
location.
*(Note:
This is a Unicode keyboard driver, and as such may only be
installed on Windows NT, 2000 or XP
Then
run the Control Panel > Keyboard > Input Locale > Add and select "English" as the Input Locale and then select "Inuktitut Nunacom" as the Keyboard layout.
If you select the "Enable indicator on taskbar" option, you can switch between keyboard layouts from the taskbar.
For
Windows XP:
1)
Run the installer in compatibility mode on XP:
- Right
click the keyboard installer file (kbdiu.exe), select Properties > Compatibility, "Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows NT (Service Pack 5)". OK the dialog, then run the installer (the kbdiu.exe file).
2) Add the new input language through Regional Options:
- Open
Regional and Language Options in the Control Panel, select Languages,
Details.
- Click
Add, then select "English" as the input language and "Inuktitut Nunacom" as the Keyboard Layout/IME.
